New Halo Reach Xbox Slim edition! Its shiney...

Halo Reach is coming September 14th and to celebrate Bungie are unvailing several nice (pricey) editions for the game but the newest one is an actual Xbox 360, all nice and silver. It is the new 'slim' model and comes with 2 custom wireless controllers and of course the game. It is currently priced at a whopping $399. The new Kinect Xbox bundle in November is set to price in at $299... Guess silver paint is pricey eh! If you are still interested in throwing away your money then check out the vid and picture below to see what you will get. I call this the 'Bend over Pack', figure out why for yourself...

Xbox Kinect - What will it cost?

Well the Microsoft Wii... er I mean Kinect is nearly here and we already have the new slim Xbox 360 in the shops, but what if you want both? How much will it cost ya? Before you rush out and blow your wad on the new Xbox slim now, it might be wiser to wait till the bundle comes out... if you are into the whole Kinect thing that is.

The word from Microsoft is that Kinect on its own will launch in the USA for £150, in the UK for £129 and Europe in general for €149. (For us Irish that doesn't include the usual 'Paddy Tax' that rip off Ireland is famous for adding to all products, so we shall see what that will pump up the price to!) This will also include a game, that one where ya jump around on the inflatable raft like a retard on speed...
What is being marketed as the Xbox 4GB model (no mention of the HD) and Kinect bundle, plus the retard game, is said to be $300 in the USA - £250 in the UK - €250 in Europe. Which is interesting because currently the new Xbox is already €250, without Kinect. Or is that just the old Paddy Tax at play...Hmmm.

So, bottom line is... wait and see what happens when Kinect and the bundles are released in November! In the meantime you can always dust off your Wii and prepare for Kinect... or get the cheaper PS3 'Move' setup in September... or just play some real games and ignore all this motion gaming crap. What is it all coming too, eh!?

Say Hello to our newest Friend! Doc R

Well Ladies and Gents, we have a new Dude moving into Reaper Towers at the moment. We shall call him 'Doc R' for now till he settles in. Currently he is upstairs getting to know some of the towers scarlet ladies but he was busy at work earlier. All you need to know is he is a seasoned UK games journalist, and avid gamer in many formats, form pixels to paper and a few unmentionable formats too. He also likes to drink till dawn, so he will fit in nicely around here! Check out his 'Grow a pair - Your a gamer!!' article on our Reapers Rant section. Enjoy and be sure to give him a good old slagging welcome, I know we will! Muhahaha...

Halo Reach - Special edition and achievements!!

We all heard the news on the super dooper Legendary pack coming for Halo Reach, now see the mid range limited edition, it will be about 80 bucks in the US, that’s 70 dollars cheaper than the Legendary edition... but you get allot less too, no dolly for a start! There is the game... obviously. Also included is a fancy box, an 'artifact' bag with a lovely little badge and what looks like stickers... whatever! Is this for five year olds? There is also a code for the 'Elite' armor, big swinging mickys! A book of art containing Reach details is there also which might actually be interesting for a few minuets. All in all I recon its fairly... unexciting. Anyway, see below for yourself in the promo image.

Also below and far more thought provoking are some of the achievements that we can expect to do our nut over trying to unlock. Reach for Reach on September 14... It should be good!

Five of the above include:
A Monument to All Your Sins – Complete each Campaign Mission on Legendary – alone.
Banshees, Fast and Low – Hijack a Banshee during the Reach Campaign.

Yes, Sensei – Earn a First Strike Medal in a Matchmaking game.

A New Challenger – Complete all of the Daily Challenges in a given day.

Make It Rain – Purchase an item from the Armory that requires the rank of Lt. Colonel.

Dragon Age 2 announced - Get your RPG on!

Sex, lies and parchment scrolls, it was all in Dragon Age. The medieval soap opera is about to continue with a sequel, yay!! I'll bet there's even more nudity, violence and cheesy ham sandwiches this time around, double yay! It was a great game for the D&D nerd in us all, epically on the PC and the DLC released gave it a long life, Bioware know their stuff. DA2 boasts new hero's, new lands, new perverts, it seems everything is new... hmm, maybe you will be the son/daughter of your previous character or some such tie in that will allow you the Bioware tradition of carrying over your saved progress from the original (just a prediction), its not as if they had safe sex rubbers back then, right?! Dirty feckers!

Check out the concept art below along with the official
Dragon Age 2 website details:

- Embark upon an all-new adventure that takes place across an entire decade and shapes itself around every decision you make.
- Determine your rise to power from a destitute refugee to the revered champion of the land.
- Think like a general and fight like a Spartan with dynamic new combat mechanics that put you right in the heart of battle whether you are a mage, rogue, or warrior.
- Go deeper into the world of Dragon Age with an entirely new cinematic experience that grabs hold of you from the beginning and never lets go.
- Discover a whole realm rendered in stunning detail with updated graphics and a new visual style.
