There is a new Splatterhouse title in the making (see vid below) in glorious 3D with lots of effects and a healthy budget... but enough about that. The real scoop here is related to back in the day when people put coins into TV boxes called arcade machines - Yep, Retro buzz comin... Apparently the new Splatter house will ship on Xbox 360 and PS3 with its 16 bit original, plus it is said to be the uncensored version! It will also contain the sequels SH2 and SH3, both of which weren't great but hey, what a package!! No firm date yet but it is set for release before the end of 2010. So get out your Jason mask, we have some freaks to pulverise... Yummy!
Darn tootin, shootin, whorein and drinkin partner!!! This trailer for Red Dead Redemption reveals the Free Roam portion of the multi player game. Its not just a game type its the actual lobby... think 'PS3 Home' crossed with 'GTA 4' with a dash of 'World of warcraft'. Personally I think this could be more like a second game in its own right than just a multi player section. Form Posse's, take on missions or just go and play some 'structured' game types, it seems the options, just like the environment are limitless. I cant wait to start unloadin shotgun quarters into some cotton pickin noobs! Yee-har!
Get out the buckets of grease cos the Epic Gears are turning and the hype campaign has kicked off in a big way. First we had Cliffy B, Dude Huge or whatever he is calling himself these days set to appear on the great gamer advocates show Jimmy Fallon on Thursday the 8th of April. Then it was canned with the possible date of Monday the 12th, but there is no record of this so far. The appearance was rumored to unveil a trailer for a new game, erhem, Duh... Gears of War 3 perhaps?! Now we hear a rumor that Underwater combat, Mech suits and a range of new weapons including ones that travel under the ground will be just some of the features in the title according to a recent article in Edge magazine.
Now, the most reveling and solid piece of evidence that Gears of War 3 is getting ready to spill its guts everywhere is the accidental (presumably) and premature feature tab advert that was put up on Xbox live today (shown above). Crossed wires on the PR side between Epic and Microsoft perhaps? Who cares, its fair to say that we can look forward to a huge Gears 3 hype campaign and seeing allot more of Cliffy. Roll on April 2011... Duuuude
This fan made Movie of Modern Warfare 2 is very impressive, especially when you take into account that it had a budget of just over 200 bucks! Its not perfect but its a dammed good effort. Wonder if they would consider doing a 'Dead or Alive Paradise' movie... hmmm...
We gave you part one of Red Dead Redemption 'Life in the west' way back in January and here is part two... been a long time comin eh! Iv said it before and I'll say it again - this game is gonna kick ass! Enjoy.
