Friday Frugal Findings - 8th April 2011

We here at Reaper Towers know that times are hard and friends are few, so with that in mind we’re offering a you a helping hand and hopefully saving you a few shekels to boot by bringing you some of the best prices on the net this week, with some new releases and some oldies but goldies.

Rift; PC at Amazon UK
£18.97/21.50 Euro

Advertised with the tag-line “Your not in Azeroth anymore” makes us think Trion Worlds must fancy their chances taking on the mighty Blizzard in the MMO market. With some good reviews already behind it, it might be worth a punt for the price.

Mass Effect; Xbox 360 at Amazon UK
£9.91/11.22 Euro

If you missed this the first time around then you’re a massive idiot, but never fear for just under a Tenner you can stop friends and family shunning you and people pointing at you in the street. Do yourself a favour and catch up with arguably one of the best titles released in the last 20 years.

Tales of Monkey Island; PC at Amazon UK
£17.33/19.63 Euro

The Mother of all adventure games returns in a blazed of white hot glory, with all five of the downloadable episodes in one package released today.

Dead Space 2; PS3 at Game
£20.98/23.76 Euro

Continue Isaac Clarke’s “poo ya pants” adventures with the Necromorph. This edition from Game also includes exclusive content. Don’t play it with the lights off, you’ve been warned.

Metroid: Other M; Wii at Gamestation
£14.99/16.98 Euro

The series much loved by Nintendo-ists for many years continues, this time with Samus in a 1st and 3rd person release.

Demons Souls; PS3 at Amazon UK
£16.72/18.94 Euro

A truly hardcore RPG were death is inevitable, but not final. A PS3 exclusive with a very different slant on multiplayer, well worth the money.

Tomb Raider Trilogy; PS3 at Game
£17.98/20.36 Euro

Three games, guns, shorts, acrobatics and Lara for under a score. Enough said.

Brunswick Pro Bowling Kinect Compatible; Xbox 360 at Amazon UK
£23.99/27.17 Euro

All the fun of bowling without the risk of a fungal foot infection.

Demon Souls hits PS3 owners in Europe & Oz... At Last!!!

While our American gamer pals have been clipping demons wings for some time now on the PS3 surprise mega hit 'Demon Souls' we poor Europeans and Australians have been left in the darkest dungeon. This is about to change with a release date of June 25th for all PAL regions. It seems the only edition will be 'The Black Phantom edition' (ooo - spooky) and will sell at standard edition prices, apparently. This contains a soundtrack, guide book and art book. Yay, thanks Sony and Namco Bandai... About fookin time too!! Arg!
