Microsoft releasing 250GB Xbox 360 for Modern Warfare 2 *Update*

Update: Microsoft today have announced a second 250GB Xbox 360 bundle after their announcement regarding the Modern Warfare pack. This time it's with the upcoming Forza 3.
While this bundle includes two wireless controllers and a 250GB HDD. Unlike the MW2 bundle, the Forza 3 pack will just be a plain, regular 360.

It's has a release date of October 23 and the price set at £249.99 (USD$411).

The fact that the Modern Warfare 2 bundle was announced for the US market, and this Forza 3 bundle for the UK market makes me wonder if they're limited to their respective regions. Angry face.

Hmm... time will tell.

So it seems the rumours of a 250GB harddrive for the Xbox 360 turned out true afterall (if not necessarily the way people expected it to show itself, i.e. the "Super 360 Elite"). Microsoft will be releasing a brand new model of the Xbox 360 based on Modern Warfare 2.

This new limited edition console will be black, with Modern Warfare 2 branding, and will also come packing a 250GB HDD, a copy of the game and two wireless controllers. It'll be available on November 10 for $399 (USD) (no word on Irish prices yet / availability), and is already available for preorder.

The bad news: Microsoft's Larry Hryb (aka Xbox Live's Major Nelson) has announced that the 250GB HDD won't be sold separately. Hardly surprising given the cost of the 120GB HDD.

Hopefully someone will figure out how to rectify this. Think how many Xbox Live Arcade games I could fit on this thing...
