Uncharted 3 Announced!!! - Drake’s Deception

Well peeps, its been real quiet lately and there has been very little in the way of truly important game news around, but here is one tid-bit of info that will have you hopping for joy... Uncharted 3 has been confirmed for 2011, perhaps it is no shock but it nice to be certain of such things. It will be developed again by Naughty Dog and is titled 'Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception'. The guts of the tale will bring Drake to more lost cities with a middle eastern flavour and the narrative will focus on his relationship with Sully, apparently. For a full rundown on this scoop head over here to EW.com There is also a lil preview vid below, not much of a reveal but it sets the tone. A release date will be revealed along with the proper trailer on the Spike TV VGA's later this week - Dec 11 (2010). The offical sony site also has the marketing speel on what to expect, so check it out here. Apparently you will be able to play it in 3D... hmmm. In the meantime, get out your sweaty shorts and pack some sun block cos judging from the screenshots below its gonna be a long dry trip!

The Walking Dead - Online Game... its pretty good!

Wanna play a game with Zombies in it? Great, cos theres loads of games featuring the meandering, maggot ridden shitbags at the moment... but here's one that is free and will run in your browser window. Its 'The Walking Dead' online game, yep the one from the Graphic novel turned TV show. Its actually not bad, so jump on over to The Walking Dead website link here and check it out for yourselves! Its a bit like the 'sims', but with zombies in it... Not much of a leap really.

Splatterhouse trailer. Let the Bodies hit the Floor!!

This looks like a total Z list game and I bet it will be pretty crap, who cares!! Its Splatterhouse and it will have the old arcade games rolled in with it. Hopefully it will be better than expected but at least the novelty of ripping off a baddies arm and beating him to death with it will give one a sense of zen, for that alone it should be worth a go!

DiRT 3 Developer Q&A

Although living in the murky realms of 2011, make no mistake Dirt3 is coming,and coming like an out of control freight train going sideways on gravel. Moreover, by telling us that sixty percent of the game play will be based on rally stages just makes me want to make sure I’m on that train. The game will also include Gymkhana, which should be a blast going around Monaco and L.A's coliseum in a rally car..

Kinect Launch Ireland & Initial Impressions

Some of the Reaper Gaming team recently attended the Kinect Launch in Dublin. Much fun was had by the Reaper crew (a little too much free alcohol fun for one ExcitingAlien). Being the shy basement dwelling types, we decided to just watch other people make fools of themselves and flay about like mentalists on fire. However, we did get to try out some of the Kinect launch titles, which even the hardest of hardcore gamers would have trouble denying that they're fun to play. Only time will tell whether it turns out to be a gimmick, or whether it'll actually fulfil its potential of being something truly immersive.
