Halo Reach - Leaked Stills?

Little is know about Halo Reach at the moment but here are some leaked screens that may or may not be part of what to expect, its all just rumour at present. Also indicated is that this game is using a new engine and the screens do have a different look to them compared to Halo 3. Personally I think it just might be legit...which would mean it is a fps after all. Check out this site for more info and images.

Call of Duty - Modern Warefare 2 - TV Advert - MP News - XBL Avatar

Lots of Modern warfare goodies today, the Infinity ward hype machine is in overdrive and to sucker you into parting with more cash they are selling cool duds for you avatar on XBL (above)... cant say I agree with charging for these little items, why cant they just put them into the game as unlockabels instead?

Also it is being reported that the Xbox and PS3 multi player cap of 18 players (9v9) per game is now to be imposed on PC players who were expecting 32 player slots like in the previous COD games... This may have something to do with Infinity ward dropping the dedicated servers and adopting the console system to host matches... sucks for the poor PC gamers as it takes away one of the key reasons to play it on your computer, don't be surprised if PC sales are down because of this while pirate copy's go up, tut tut Infinity Ward! You shouldn't punish your hard core players!

Ok, I know trends come and go but at the moment the game trend seems to be all about the decks and DJ's... Let me get off the fence straight away... I hate them all! It all looks rubbish to me and full of 'yo yo', 'pretty fly for a white guy' grammatically challenged jail bait but there are people out there that find this kind of thing fun so here is what looks like DJ Hero's main competitor for now... Scratch DJ. What next, Harp player, Pianist tapper or maybe some Yodelling? Arg... enjoy!

Star Wars - TFU - Hoth Game play - Vader mark 2!

Although I totally disapprove of the greedy way Lucasarts have gone about releasing this 'Hoth' level exclusively in a new Sith addition and not as DLC I am still looking forward to getting down with my bad ass Jedi self and whooping Luke's ass... eventually. Prince of Persia - Movie Trailer

Prince of Persia is one of the older platform'ers to have survived the decades and indeed thrive in the last few years... now Hollywood have got their hands on it and it looks like the cash cow is about to explode! Maybe it will be good but I'm not holding my breath, looks like allot of eye candy and not much depth, hopefully I'm wrong... and why do they all have English accents its 'Prince of Persia', not Prince Harry! Just waiting for someone to say 'Would you like a cup of tea', Jeese!

Microsoft Confirms LIVE Console Ban Wave to IGN

Apparently, the ban wave has been going on over the past week. So far reports coming in are from the US & Canada. No doubt the rest of the world will soon follow.

From IGN:
"We have taken action against a small percentage of consoles that have been modified to play pirated game discs," a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN. "In line with our commitment to combat piracy and support safer and more secure gameplay for the more than 20 million members of our Xbox LIVE community, we are suspending these modded consoles from Xbox LIVE."

MS Forcefully Removes Private Chat from Upcoming Titles

"Do you like to use the party chat option on your Xbox 360? Well, if you do, you may soon find yourself being forced out of using that option. Microsoft appears to be offering developers the option to negate the private chat option the Xbox 360 offers. Currently, players have the option of forming a private chat with players, but that will soon change.


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will force players to decide whether or not they’ll play the game and join the game chat, or choose to stay in a private chat and not play in the multiplayer game. With titles like Gears of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: World at War, and many other online based multiplayer titles, the private chat feature became a way of telling other players of enemy locations after being killed.


Such a feature shouldn’t detract from the overall online experience much, but there will surely be some gamers who won’t like the type of feature being implemented. With some gamers only using the private chat to talk to friends while playing different games, this will likely pose a problem for them."

This news has been far from welcomed in the community, e.g.:
Yes! I can't wait to go back a step and once again have to listen to racists, squeaky voiced 11 year olds who shouldn't even own a rated M title, homophobes, angst ridden Mcdonalds employee teenagers, people too cheap or stupid to fix their echo filled headsets, people listening to music as max volume in the background, the guy with 3 kills and 14 deaths yelling tips for everyone, the guy with 12 kills and no deaths who spent the past 12 minutes crouched in a corner waiting for someone to walk by talking about how he "PWNED" everyone, the guy with the mic WAY too close to his mouth who no one can understand, etc...

Bold EA and some dirty Dragon Age tactics!

Oh oooo!!! Looks like those dirty tactics are back! You might remember back when Batman Arkham asylum was coming that Edios was said to have made a deal with reviewers so that they could release a review before the embargo... if the game was given a 9/10 or equivalent score! Well apparently the dude (RAM Raider) that broke open that evil little egg has claimed the same over 'EA' and 'Dragon Age: Origins'.
