By now you have undoubtedly enjoyed the 'West World' experience of Red Dead Redemption and if you haven't then ya better get you ass out there and rustle up a copy of this excellent game! For those of us that have taken the leap into the wild west and who have PSN/Xbox Live Gold accounts, we can look forward to the free DLC coming for this on June 22nd -'Outlaws to the End' - Good on ya Rockstar!! (Hey Infinity Ward, ya listening... FREE - Not Fleeced!).
The pack is said to contain six new co-op missions that will allow 2-4 players kick ass and plug holes into dirty vermin, along with new XP challenges, achievements/trophies and fixes for frustrating and sometime hilarious bugs that are riddled throughout the game. Hopefully they will leave in the funnier bugs like the flying cowboys, cougar man and the amazing donkey woman. I saw a cow fly during the week but I really want to see if the pigs can fly too. Bacon for breakfast boys!!
Theres nothing all that new or revealing in this video about Natal, it looks like this is the prototypes last hurrah though as the next reveal is set to be way more impressive. All questions are answered with the default 'Wait till E3" response and a cheesy smile. Interestingly the camera on top of the Xbox is white... as rumored, but I imagine it will be sold in a selection of colours. Oh, and if that dumb A.D.D. kid is 'Natals' target audience, Microsoft can 'Wave' goodbye to a big chunk of their current fan base... Just saying.
Well, its currently the calm before the storm, developers are for the most part battening down the hatches and tying down fences before E3, as a result there's sweet F**K all going on! Arg!
A new Zelda is set to make an appearance this year (again...) along with more on Gears of War 3, COD Spec Opps and the usual updates on games we know about. Its what we don't know about that is exciting like 'L.A. Noire' or maybe there's a new GTA or Star Wars reveal, Mass Effect 3 perhaps... huh, huh!? Then of course there's the big 'Natal' reveal that hopefully will put a few issues straight, price, colour, new name, titles... is it shit or not?! Lots to wonder about, I recon it might be a good one overall!
In the meantime, the lads over at 1up have put together their wish list top 50 for the event so have a lil look and see if they tally with your own... Heres one for the books! Apparently a French nut bag gamer had a good old knife fight in Counter Strike and lost, boo hoo - Big Deal you say, well it was to him! The French loony wanted some payback... with real Knives - Eeek! The Telegraph.co.uk reports that apparently Julien Barreaux (20 years old) got his ass carved up by a player called 'Mikhael' in a run of the mill Counter Strike Knife Duel online, Julien decided to track down his opponent, taking six months to do so, and get some revenge. When he found his victims residence fruity Julien simply knocked on the door and plunged a knife into Mikhael's chest - What a f**k'n loony!
The knife narrowly missed the victims heart and he survived the assult thankfully. The mentalist was caught by cops and detained. Police said 'Barreaux was arrested within the hour and told us he had wanted to see his rival wiped out for killing off his character'. The freaky Frenchman only got two years for GBH with the Judge commenting - "You are a menace to society. I am frankly terrified of the disproportionate reaction you could have if someone looked at you the wrong way in the street." - It is events like this that put gamers in a bad light and I think its fair to say that Julien should have his balls cut off as part of his sentence... with a big knife!
