Modern Warfare 3 is on its way but with it will be coming Activisions latest attempt to get their greedy mits on your dosh. COD Elite will be the new Free service that gives COD fans and fruit baskets access to an overwhelming amount of stats and if you are a monthly paid subscriber you will get extra stats and DLC at a reduced price. It will tie in with all COD games from Black Ops on into the future for all platforms. Now, its important to understand that this wont conflict with the normal bought in the shop game, it is a extra not a necessity... at least not yet. I can see how this would appeal to Call of Duty fans but for anyone who just likes these games but isn't an exclusive type of player it might be much a do about nothing. Its nearly the 4th of May so - May the fourth be with you! If your an XBox 360 owner and you like zombies then the video below will salivate your blood lust. It features some Horror movie Greats (and not so great) appearances, most notably George Romero, Mr Day/Dawn/Night and other less successful times of the Dead movies, Legend! But - Buffy?? Seriously?? Could they not have gotten Bruce Cambell or someone else, arg! At least theres no Twilight twats I guess. Anyway, the Escalation pack is looking seriously good and for me this seals the deal, I simply must get it now... grumble. I hate the price (1200msp) but at least it looks like were getting a lil more than usual for our buck with this 'Call of the Dead' feature. If you hate the living dead idea then this changes nothing for ya, its just an over priced bunch of maps... but I luv the walking dead, so I'll see ya all in Zombieville, with my Boomstick!!
Damn you Treyarch, damn you to hell!!! You are making me question my gaming principles - I hate the idea of getting ripped off for your map pack... again, but it does look rather good! **Update ** Screw the Rock - I can smell when a rumour is cooking true or false and this one had true tattooed on its ass from the start - Its official 'Escalation' for Black ops is a go!! Its coming on the 3rd of May to Xbox, so less than a month to wait. Major Nelson let the monkey out of the bag today (check here for that). He also revealed that it is going to be the usual rip off price of 1,200msp - Told ya it would be that too, didn't I, eh! So I recon I'll just wait for a sale or something cos I felt like a cheep used whore after buying the 'First Strike' pack- and buying 2 map packs for Call of Duty costs nearly the same as buyin a new game, dirty, greedy Activision... Grrr!
Original post: Here we go again, another multi player map pack for Black Ops... the last one (First Strike) wasn't bad if a tad (allot) overpriced. The new second pack - 'Escalation' looks like it will have about four maps and a zombie mode level - Seize the Zoo - Take the Hotel - Secure the Convoy and Raid the Stockpile with the possible zombie one being - Survive Call of the Dead. So that's a fairly big map pack but it would be nice if they supported some single player action too... or even some co-op type thing, arg!
Its coming on May 3rd (2011) to Xbox and soon after for PS3 and PC. The price? Well no official word on that yet but I can bet its going to be at least 1200 msp - unless Activision have seen the error of their ways and decide to charge a fair price... actually they might charge 1600msp. Greedy fookers! We will update you with more on this when we get it... for free!
This is just genius and a must watch!! Its the Berlin wall trailer for the PS3 First Strike maps... and it rocks. It sooo 80's. Watch out for the white dove who learns a lesson about shitting on soldiers and the Scorpions soundtrack is just cheesy in the best possible way - love it! Gotta hand it to Treyarch, they may not be quite as slick as Infinity ward but man they are way funnier!!! Nice one lads! Enjoy. Now... where did I leave that air guitar, hmm...

Here we go with the Activision rip off plan... four new Multi player maps and a zombie mode map all for the neat price of 1200msp... neat my ass!! That's twice the price of four Halo maps, WTF!! Slightly better than MW2's offerings last year I guess... but still, what extortion! Anyway, if you love COD enough then ya will deffo get these and I have to admit they do look pretty interesting, just have a look at the vid below. The maps will be out on the Xbox 360 on February 1st (2011). PC and PS3 should get it soon after but that date is yet unannounced, tut, tut to exclusives eh. Check below for the map details. Kowloon - Basically the Hong Kong mission from the single player campaign. Remade with multiplayer in mind but with zip lines and lots of camping positions. Allot of falling to be done I recon!
Discovery - Time for some snow, its a research station but has a deep chasm dividing it with narrow points connecting them, real fortress type stuff. Oh, be careful though the bridges can be destroyed, excellent!
Berlin Wall - World War II makes another appearance in Black Ops with this map, it is East meets west with a turret riddles no mans land... lots of slaughter!
Stadium - A modern complex with lots of close quarter combat and lots of camping potential, get out the shotguns!
Ascension - the Zombie map... no details as of yet but we bet it will have, um, guns and zombies!?

OK, its out! The most talked about game of the year has hit our screens and the carnage will now commence. To celebrate we have three nice vids for you below. The first is Ice T unpacking the 'Prestige' edition, where he also shares his xbox call sign, followed by the Game Trailers video review which has a few surprises in it (like a hidden mini game) and lastly is the first glitch to appear in COD BO... is it a noob tube glitch? Or perhaps an immunity glitch? Well, ya will just have to watch the video to find out, how do ya like them apples!? Overall it looks like Treyarch have laid to rest any doubts that they couldn't pull of a 'Modern Warfare' type game, which is good for us gamers, plus they added zombies! First image is the maps, they all look fairly standard names for a map... except 'Nuke Town' perhaps... Is that where Duke lives maybe? Ops, wrong game.
The second image is some of the kill streaks which seem to include Dogs, Napalm and sheep bombs!! No, just kidding about the sheep, thought I was looking at the load out for 'Worms' there for a sec... wrong game eh!
It is said that Ice Cube, yep the rapper, is said to be doing voice overs in the game... I bet Ice T will be pissed!! I suddenly feel like a cold drink after that. Anyway the other lil bit of news on this is that players will be able to make their own game types in the multi player and it wont have to rely on the Honour system to be played. Great, I want a cucumber on cucumber fight! Arg... wrong game again!
Check out this latest trailer for the single player of Call of Duty Black Ops, it looks nice! There's even a lil bit of what looks like 'The Deer Hunter' in there... I recon allot of Vietnam movies will be referenced in one way or another, which would be kinda cool! Wonder if there will be any Rambo stuff... Aidriannnnnn. Opps, wrong movie.
