Arrrrrgh! - New Rage Gameplay Trailer, Screenshots and Multiplayer Info.

Why Bethesda, with all this new information you really are spoiling us. Yes that's right folks we have some new Rage based info for you, with a glimpse at some screenshots and gameplay footage from the single player campaign.

But first lets take a butchers at multiplayer;

"What we didn't want to do is just throw a couple of guys on foot and they're fighting and call it our online offering," said Rage Design Director Matt Hooper "That's not what we wanted to do. We wanted to make it uniquely Rage."

Glad to hear it, so what do we get? Rage will feature a special competitive combat rally mode which we have seen before in titles such as Twisted Metal, with players using mounted weapons to take out opponents as they race around the five (at least) available circuits. When not filling each other with lead from ramshackle vehicles players will be prompted into check-point based races. All pretty interesting, but what if you get your kicks from shooting teenage kids who scream "NOOOBBBCAKES!!" down your lugholes all battle, in the head? Fear not, The Legends of the Wastelands mode will allow you to do just that, with approximately eight different maps from the single player mode packed full of missions, weapons and gadgets.


The trailer below gives you an idea of what to expect in the single player experience and by all accounts it would seem to suggest that Rage will certainly be able to hold its own against the Smorgasbord of sequels being released this year.

Rage from id Software and Bethesda will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in September.

PS3 and PC meet online... Thanks to Portal 2!

Ok, this shit is the bomb!Portal 2 will be cross compatible online between the PC and PS3, Yep! A PS3 owner will now be able to play and chat with a PC player online. Ain't that great?! But it gets better because if you get Portal 2 on the PS3 (Currently - April 21st, 2011) you will get the PC version free with it... yep, free! Ya hear that Microsoft?? It's all made possible through 'Steam' Valve's game market place and general game platform. Once ya reg up on steam you can slip between platforms to play the game as the steam cloud will hold all your saved progress and you can mix it up between PC and PS3 online play, fookin fab eh!

We have wanted this for a long time and despite the slight advantage that PC players will have by using a keyboard and mouse, it shall render a better experience for all gamers involved... now sort it out for Left 4 Dead please valve. As for Microsoft... stop being so frickin greedy and let some free stuff onto the xbox, like steam... Then perhaps we can get a good old three way going! Wouldn't that kick ass!!Hopefully a fire has been lit under the industry with this and other developers will take heed.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - The Smuggler and the Beta

It is drawing near, this November you will be able to slip back into the shadows for some medieval assassin action and perhaps some cross dressing! PS3 owners are getting the beta on the new multi player just about now so we should soon see more info on just how cool this new format of game really is and I predict that it will be kick ass. In the meantime check out the promo vids below it will give you a better idea of the options that will be available when the game hits.

Call of Duty - Black Ops Multi PlayerTrailer.

Check out the vid... It basically looks like Modern Warfare upgraded! Which is both a good and bad thing I guess. Would have been nice to see a new approach to the multi player side of things but I guess if its not broken then theres no need to fix it... Some cool new gadgets and perks are added and the lil camera in the corner is also a nice addition. Wonder if the helicopter will be usable online, I bet it will. Regardless, it will be fun driving a remote control car-bomb up some poor feckers sphincter - Boom - Ass Shot!
