Friday Frugal Findings - 29th April 2011

If you're in the UK at the moment or anywhere else in the world come to think of it and you're like me, you'll be hiding under the bed just in case you hear the words Royal and Wedding. Which will no doubt send you into a frightful rage ending up with you bludgeoning some fecker to death with their own shoes. If this sound familiar then take my advice. There is no way to avoid eejits going on about this nonsense for at least the next week or so, the only solution is to not go outside, don't answer the phone and for the love of Christ keep the TV and Radio off. Only thing to do then? That’s right, check out our gaming deals for this week and we’ll promise to do our best to keep nuptials and blue-bloods out of it. A game that first went into development when Isambard Kingdom Brunel was only a glint in his father’s eye and like most games that take this long to surface, they never quite live up to the hype. Although not a title that will have your arse glued to the couch for more than a few hours it does have its moment.

There was a certain amount of sneering about Bioshock’s sequel upon release, all we can tell you is if you loved the first outing then get your thumbs around this one and at this price you won’t be disappointed.

Dead Rising 2; PS3 at Gamestation
£12.98/$21.64/14.47 Euro

Zombies, Zombies, Zombies, if you can’t get enough of them, here’s a game with more that you can shake a chainsaw at. Reviewed here when first released.

Lucius; PC at Play.com
£17.99/£30.01/20.23 Euro

Here’s one I’ve been keeping my one good eye on for the last few months. At the moment this title is looking a lot like a horror movie which I’m guessing the producers couldn’t get the naming rights to. Lucius is the son of the Devil and its your job to help him off people to gain enough dark powers to take over the world. Well if you call your kid Lucius, its hard to imagine him growing up to be an accountant. Lace Mamba’s latest title is due for release on 11th June.

Bioshock 2 - TV ad and Special edition unwrapped.

Well we have double trouble for ya on the Bioshock front, firstly is a poorly humoured promo for the 'special edition' which is about as funny as a the village idiot staring at another idiot! But it does tell us what goodies are in the pack. The second vid is the TV commercial for the actual game and I recon it looks pretty sweet... that's said its all sequences no game play footage. Hopefully it will live up to the standard set in the first Bioshock... but some how I doubt it.

Whose the Daddy? You are ya plank! This eerie little trailer reminds you of what pleasures a Dig Daddy has, little girls, big sisters and a city of floating bloated meat sacks... You might need therapy after playing this game and a restraining order to keep ya away from children... its all very twisted but looks good!

Bioshock 2 - New trailer!

It ain't easy being the daddy... but a big drill on your arm makes it so much more fun! This Bioshock 2 trailer shows some multi player fun and some nice indications that the Bioshock atmosphere is still there... goody!

World wide release kiddies, its February 9, 2010. We will let you know if any details on the 'special addition' pack when announced, maybe it will come with a blow up 'Big Sister'... Hubba, Hubba!

Bioshock 2 MP- Can it work?

When I first heard of the multi player side of BioShock 2 I must sat I was rather skeptical... but it does look like its shaping up quite nicely, looks a lil like Team fortress 2 with a dash of quake wrapped in BioShock/Fallout 3 style. Could be interesting... or a bag of crap... time will tell. Have a look for yourself...
